INT. JORDAN’S ROOM. DAY.
JORDAN sits up slowly.
JORDAN
Oh, for f-!
JORDAN walks to the bathroom, takes his boxers off and posts them through the bathroom window, leaving them to hang. There’s a knock at the door. The door opens.
MULL
J-Dog, Kate’s here, you up?
JORDAN
Yeah Mull, be right down!
JORDAN, stood naked in the bathroom, worries about what to wear as he goes down, realising he’s going to be seen by KATE one way or another when he leaves the bathroom. Quickly thinking, he grabs a dirty white towel and dips his head in cold water.
KATE
Jordan, you there kidda!?
JORDAN
(walking downstairs)
Yeah, was just in the shower.
KATE
Getting ready to go?
JORDAN
Yeah, just give me two minutes? Go chill in the living room? Mull won’t bite.
MULL walks in.
MULL
Much!
KATE
What?

Script.

I have been doing some more work on my script, I will post up a draft of the first page shortly.

Script work.

I've been working on my script and have started to make a bit more progress on my project. I'll post the script up here shortly, when I get a slight bit more work done.

References - The Graduate.

I will be using certain ideas from the film 'The Graduate' to show how 'boring' Jordan's life is.
One of which is at the very beginning of the film where Dustin Hoffman's character is shown close up, however, his face is to a side to show he's a little off in life, he doesn't quite know what he wants just yet - similar to Jordan.

Another idea I will be using is the shot where Hoffman's character is on the escalator and his character goes from one side of the screen to te other, then the shot changes to a view of his briefcase, showing how dull and isolated his life is - similar to Jordan.

CUT – ‘This is the Best Friend.’

-Shot with him and Kate walking down streets, on the way to college, etc.

CUT – ‘This is the Drug.’

-Shots of Jordan skateboarding, landing tricks.

CUT – ‘This is “doing homework”.’

-Shot of Jordan masturbating with his left hand.

CUT – ‘This is “Looking for a Job”.’

-Shot of Jordan masturbating with his right hand.

CUT – ‘This is Secret Love.’

-Shot of Jordan and Kate hanging out, sitting down at their spot on a stairset etc.

CUT – ‘This is Jordan.’

Zoom out of his face, Music fades out, Alarm goes off, reading 1:33.

Shot back to Jordan turning and facing the camera, his head shakes a little.

This is just a basic edit, so changes will definitely be made.

Here is a video of the song that will open and introduce the short film I will be making.
The initial idea is to start the film with this song and have the short montage sequence of Jordan's life run over it.
